Kraus & Naimer Limited is part of the worldwide Kraus & Naimer group which celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 1997. Kraus & Naimer Limited was first established in the UK in 1963 and moved to its current premises in Newbury, in the early 70’s. From small beginnings the company now employs over 30 people and turns over in excess of £5million, supplying over 3,000 customers with the world renowned high quality Blue Line switchgear products.

The purpose built premises in Newbury provides office accommodation for the highly skilled sales and support staff and features extensive warehouse space to accommodate the high levels of stock necessary for the company to enable the supply of customer requirements on a next day delivery service.

The development of the Blue Line rotary cam switch, switch disconnector and contactor ranges is based on more than one hundred years of experience by Kraus & Naimer in the design and manufacture of electrical switchgear. Indeed Kraus & Naimer pioneered the introduction of the cam operated rotary switch and continues to be recognised as the world leader in that product field. Founded in 1907, the first Kraus & Naimer workshop was in a basement of a building in Wattgasse 53, Vienna. Now the group consists of 7 state of the art production facilities in Austria, Germany, Ireland, USA, New Zealand, Brazil and Hungary together with 18 sales and marketing companies covering most of the industrial and commercial centres worldwide.
